Recent trip to Shanghai

I am struggling through some lovely jetlag, but I did make lots of progress on my next title, about 80% complete on the first draft now.
I wanted to share a few amusing pictures, and oddly enough – they are food oriented. I know many of my recent posts have been dedicated to books, but I am somewhat of a food person.
Most of these photos are taken on my last day, eating at the airport in Shanghai. (BTW – I’ve been silent for the last 10 days largely due to China’s restricting access to blogs of most types. Annoying… Will have to look into this and see if there are options for my site hosting.
This was the name of the cafe I ate at. I’d note the unique English spelling is part of the charm. 😉

Not sure what the English means, but it refers to the dumplings below. These seemingly innocent noodle dishes have 2,000,000 degree soup inside which will certainly have you peeling layers of skin off your tongue if you eat too quickly or without warning.

This was what greeted me when I woke up one day 30 floors above the ground….
