Don’t listen to me! Or should you?

Nothing annoys me more than people who profess knowledge in something when in fact they are clueless.
Be that as it may, this seems to be prevalent in writing. How many people, who are otherwise unpublished or have no writing credentials whatsoever, wax professorial when giving advice to other would-be authors.

Why the heck would we listen.
Why listen to me? I am – as I type this – uncredentialed.
Well – I do not profess to have answers. I presume a reader of this will have common sense (may be a stretch for some ;)) and when they read about the things I did – it would either make sense or it didn’t.
Never take what people say as written in stone and must be a certain way. We were all given the ability to think and judge and we should go ahead and exercise it.
You will not “hear” me ever say that you must do this or that. I am willing to share what I’ve done, and who knows, maybe in a few months we’ll all learn whether or not the paths I’ve taken are ones to be emulated or not. In the meantime, you can judge for yourself the wisdom of my choices and make your own decisions.
I suppose I got on this tangent because I read some other blog, and found the author to be extremely pedantic. When doing a bit of research, it turns out this person was as inexperienced as anyone else who might be staring at the gates of publication. I find the amount of misinformation disturbing on the internet sometimes.
Anyway, I have a paying job waiting for me and the script I was running just completed.
Of course, there are more installments to come…
